Magnifying Glass Pro takes the experience of looking at things with a magnifier and ports it to your Windows-powered machine. You are provided with a virtual magnifier that you can use to look at, well, anything you want. If you can’t see the text, use the virtual magnifier to take a closer look. If you can’t see the details in a picture, use the virtual magnifier to get in close and see everything.

The Magnifying Glass Pro installer is close to 3MB in size; it’s safe to say then that downloading it will not take much of your time. Once you have the installer just run it, follow the onscreen instructions presented by the setup wizard, and you’ll quickly be done with the installation process.

While Magnifying Glass Pro is running you will see a magnifier icon in the system tray. Left click it and you will be presented with a virtual magnifier. Right click it and you will be presented with a context menu that, among other things, allows you to access the Options menu.

There are several ways of bringing up the virtual magnifier this application puts at your disposal. As mentioned above, you can do so by left clicking the Magnifying Glass Pro icon in the system tray. Since we’re talking about the system tray icon, it must be said that you can also right click the icon and select the Show Glass option. Another method is to shake the mouse horizontally. Or better yet, you can use a hotkey – the default one is Ctrl + G, but if you don’t like the default, you can change it to something else. Speaking about hotkeys, you can also use them to zoom in and out, increase/decrease the width and height, enable a visual effect, or switch from one profile to another.

Magnifying Glass Pro’s only fault is that it will disable the Aero Glass style. Apart from that, it is a properly good tool that you can use for free for a trial period of 30 days.

Get in close and see what details you’re missing out on. Use the virtual magnifier this application puts at your disposal to get a closer look at anything you want.

Pros

Downloading and installing the application takes little time. There are several ways of bringing up the virtual magnifier. There are several glass profiles to choose from. Mouse shaking and hotkeys are supported. It can capture whatever is under the glass and copy it to the clipboard.

Cons

Disables Aero Glass.
